We had a lovely time at this homestay. From the minute we were picked up from our hotel, Chotharam was most informative & helpful. He provided excellent communication prior to our visit. It was lovely meeting & spending time with his family. The attention to detail in the accommodation was excellent. The food was all delicious too. We purchased a hand woven rug from him, and he shipped it home for us saving us extra weight on the rest of our trip. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this homestay and meeting the family, as lovely way to leave busy cities behind.

Wonderful host family clean and comfortable huts with full modern bathrooms and Air Conditioning. The breakfasts, lunch, and dinners were all superb. Village safari by host was fun and very interesting. Cooking class also enjoyed greatly.

This was the BEST homestay / accommodation we have had in India. The family welcomed us into their home and their village, sharing their lives with us. The mud hut we stayed in was AWESOME! An extra-large bed, private modern bathroom. Western toilet, hot solar heated shower. Huge bathroom. The ambience of the homestay is calm, quiet & homely. You will be served breakfast, lunch & dinner. I also received some Henna artwork on my hands/feet by the family. We joined in a cooking class with Chhotaram’s wife, Mumta, which we then served to the whole family. We climbed the local ‘rock’ to see the sunset and oversea the whole village. We went on a safari to other villages. Bonus, we went back to spend Holi Festival with the family/village. What a privilege to share & celebrate this tradition, we had so much fun. If you come to Jodphur, you MUST stay here. Couples, families & solo travellers it would suit. If you want to get the REAL Indian experience & get out of a hotel, this place is a must. We will be recommending this homestay to all our friends and family. 10/10!

A great and memorable experience near jodhpur for NRIs

Its a unique place and more of an experience than a comfort stay. Its not designed for locals and will be enjoyed by NRIs or Foreigners as it shows the local village experience of Rajasthan. If a local want to visit, they have to make sure to consider it as an experience as there are limited services in this village experience. The road to the village is very bad and its not in jodhpur, its outside jodhpur 30-40 mins drive. Once reached, you will be treated well by the host as a guest and they will treat you as a family. As an NRI who lost the touch of traditional indian village, my family enjoyed the stay. I would suggest it as 1-2 nights experience and not more.
